The trees are coming into leaf at The Park! Our beautiful Horse Chestnut tree (quite a focal point at The Park) is coming into leaf, as are the 840 Woodland Trust saplings we have so far planted, the 50 orchard trees (from Henley's Nurseries) and 60 specimen trees (from Thorpe trees)! It looks fabulous. We have the first Orchard blossom too. Hopefully the grass seed will soon spring into life too.
A huge thanks to everyone who has contributed to The Park's creation thus far - doesn't it look fabulous? As the grass seed has just been sown, please do not enter The Park, except for organised events. We are keen for the grass seed to establish undisturbed. Thank you! Huge thanks to: Everyone who has "adopted" a tree at The Park. http://www.postcodelocaltrust.org.uk/ for their assistance with our specimen / orchard trees https://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/ for supplying us with 840 saplings so far - and for their volunteer Derek Utley for visiting The Park and supporting our project And a huge thanks to Henley's Nurseries and Thorpe Trees for their support of our project. https://www.henleysnurseries.co.uk/ http://thorpetrees.com/
