Attention Litterbugs!
We are thrilled that The Park has been enjoyed by so many with the recent run of good weather 🌞 and school holidays coinciding. However we have noticed an increase in litter, which is disappointing. Please make sure you take home all your litter. The Park is maintained by our wonderful volunteers and they would prefer to be maintaining our current facilities and creating new exciting amenities, not picking up other people's rubbish. Please think of others and take your litter home. A huge thank to you our young volunteers for litter picking and sorting recycling this week. 😃🌳😃 This Saturday (14th July) is another Volunteers day, commencing at midday and finishing with a group BBQ.
We are hoping to install the slide onto the newly shaped mound and install our wooden tractor and trailer unit. We are also hoping to do some tidying up of the longer grass. If you can pop by for the whole afternoon, or just half an hour at some point, your efforts would be much appreciated. Children are welcome to attend with adults as long as well supervised. Please bring gardening gloves, shears, trowels, wheelbarrows, shovels and the like - digging and grass cutting kit! Many thanks and look forward to seeing lots of you there! |
