June - 2016 - Plans for The Park, Kilnwick

Following our public meeting earlier this year, which so many of you kindly attended, we felt it was time to update you on the current position of the project.

The Park will be a green recreational space for adults and children from Kilnwick and surrounding areas to enjoy. We hope that the park will be utilised for play, exercise and socialising, enhancing the lives of residents.

Our plans include :
>     grassed area for sports / picnics / play
>  wildlife areas including native tree planting  (and possibly a community orchard)
>   bench seating - for families to pause whilst playing, ramblers passing by on the public footpaths to rest and enjoy the view, adults to sit and enjoy the surroundings
>  playground / agility trail - which will be rustic in style including the usual playground equipment (swings, slide, climbing frame balance beams etc)
>    grass mounds for children to play on
