September 2016 - The Park Update

Huge celebrations!  - Planning Approved !

On the 15th of September the Ward Councillors at County Hall, Beverley voted unanimously to grant Planning Permission for "The Park, Kilnwick" following recommendation of approval from the Planning Department.

The comments made at the Strategic Planning Committee were pretty inspirational, and reminded us all just how unique this project is.

Just when things couldn't get much better, we hear news that a Tesco "Bags of Help" Grant we'd applied for in the Spring of 2016 has been successful and that we will receive between £8,000 and £12,000 in funding.

We have fulfilled all 9 positions on our Charity Trustees - with a diverse mix, and a huge depth and breadth of skills.

​Our initial Trustees are: Kenny Quinn (also representing Beswick Parish Council), Robert Lee, Simon Chacksfield, Kerry and Ade Styche, Tim and Susannah Bristow & Ellen and Lee Beddows.

Grant applications have started in earnest for the play equipment and wildlife habitat creation...

Our layground Tender is complete, and Playdale Playgrounds is our preferred supplier.
The artists impression (below) produced by Playdale has been circulated to villagers, with great excitement (particularly from our Youth Club members!).
