The Parklings were on great form this weekend - all 28 of them!
They created insect hotels (with help from Luke and Noor of Peckish Bird Food) and miniature "parks in a tray" which will be entered into the Handicrafts competition at the Park opening (they will look more "park - like" when the grass seed germinates). The Parklings also tried out the concrete tunnel (yet to be grass covered) and admired their wildflower meadow - which is looking fabulous!

The Parklings have created a curved seat (once its wood covered) using stones and gabions. The stones were previously picked up (by Parklings and adult volunteers) from The Park itself. It is fabulous to recycle these in such a practical and visible way. The seats look great.
Parklings this Saturday 2-4pm. The activity is creating a curved seat around the Horse Chestnut tree using gabions and stones (that the Parklings and volunteers previously collected from The Park). Hope to see you there!
